Life after the Tour

So now that some time has passed, I thought I would catch you up on where I am today. Since coming off the Tour last year, we have been very busy here in Memphis. We have started a Chapter here and our name is Guardians of the Ribbon-Memphis/MidSouth Chapter. Memphis sits in a unique situation. To our South we have Mississippi. To our west we have Arkansas. Then just a short drive north we have the bootheel of Missouri and then Western Kentucky. So we have the opportunity of helping in so many communities around us. We will concentrate on a 150 mile radius of Memphis and as you can see that is 5 states. We are currently updating our website www.pinkhealsmemphis.com and also our facebook page.

Back in March we purchased our first fire truck. This coming Sunday we are going to debut her at the Memphis Redbirds game. The Redbirds are the St. Louis Cardinals AAA team. They want to Pink the Park on Sunday. Plus what better day to do our debut but on Mothers Day. Over the last 5 weeks I have felt like I have lived in 2 different places. My fire house and the shop where we were doing all of the work to get Her ready for Sunday. She will be ready. For more information on the game please visit our website.

Also over the last few months our National website has gone through a transformation. It looks awesome and Lisa has added some new apparel that I think the ladies would love. Two words....Yoga Pants...lol...what lady doesn't love yoga pants. So check out the site and see all of the new things that have been added. www.pinkfiretrucks.org

Now on to some other news.........I have been selected to be a driver on the 2012 Pink Heals Tour. The excitement that came over me for because of the honor to be a part of something so special. It really is an indescribable feeling. Because of the amount of requests that come in for Tour stops, the National has decided that we will start a rotation. This years tour will Start in Denver and work through the Midwest coming east to Indiana before turning back and heading to the west coast. For all my friends in Texas dont worry they will be back next year. I will do my blog again on this years tour so stay tuned........

In my closing, I have to give a shout out to someone that has been by my side during this journey. My wife Karen. She has had to keep the fort down while I have been working on the truck. She has done an outstanding job keeping everything moving forward from making sure that I wasn't forgetting things to taking care of our 3yo little boy. I can't thank her enough for all her hard work. I promise that there is a family vacation coming real soon.

I'll be back......
